Daniela Gailer
Daniela’s journey in the travel industry began long before she became the driving force behind our Australia office. Her love for travelling and discovering new cultures from a young age led her to extensively travel around the world and study Tourism Management in Germany. She worked for many years with a wholesaler in Germany, where she developed a deep understanding of the industry and gained valuable insight into client needs, including travel law and regulations, particularly the German laws.
Having lived on three different continents and being fluent in German, Spanish, and English, Daniela’s global perspective has enriched her ability to understand diverse needs, preferences and cultures. After travelling through Australia for several months, she fell in love with the country’s stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and unique spirit. She made Australia her home and today feels privileged to share her passion for the country with others.
As the backbone of Terra Nova’s Sydney office, Daniela leads our team with unwavering dedication and expertise. Throughout her career, Daniela has honed her skills in tour planning, quoting, operations, finance and management, earning a reputation for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Her hands-on approach ensures that every aspect of a client’s journey, from itinerary customisation to on-the-ground logistics, is executed flawlessly. Philipp Schacht
Philipp was born in Germany and has been an entrepreneur since the age of 18. With a strong background in sales and marketing, Philipp developed a keen business acumen early on. His entrepreneurial spirit, paired with his extensive experience in these fields, has been key to his success in co-leading Terra Nova Tours Christchurch office.
An avid adventurer, Philipp’s love for mountain biking, motorcycling and camping has always been central to his life. Seeking new challenges and adventures, he moved with his family to New Zealand, a place he calls paradise. In New Zealand, Philipp found the perfect setting for his passion for the outdoors, immersed in nature, and surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes that the country offers. Whether it’s exploring rugged terrains on his mountain bike or soaking in the tranquil beauty of New Zealand’s wilderness, Philipp relishes everything this adventure-filled country has to offer.

John has worked across a variety of roles in both large and small tour companies, as well as leading hotel chains, giving him a comprehensive understanding of New Zealand’s tourism landscape.
John’s extensive experience and passion for showcasing New Zealand enables him to craft exceptional travel experiences. His in-depth knowledge of touring ensures he can find solutions for almost any travel need, tailoring itineraries that perfectly match clients’ interests with activities and accommodation. From breathtaking landscapes to unique cultural experiences, John takes pride in creating journeys that leave lasting memories.
